Rev. Dr. Cheri DiNovo, C.M. 

1971 – Only woman to sign We Demand, first gay rights demo in Canada. Marched in Toronto’s first Pride.

2001 – Performed the first legalized same-sex marriage in Canada

2006 – Elected MPP – passed most private bills in Ontario’s history and most LGBTQ bills in Canadian history

2017 – Minister at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church 

2019 – Appointed to the Order of Canada

Music Director: Deborah Park

Hyun Hee Deborah Park is an accomplished composer, pianist, organist, conductor, and educator with international experience. She has performed formal concerts in Korea, Germany, Canada, and the US, and won international competitions which resulted in being invited to perform in Carnegie Hall.

Deborah completed her Masters of Sacred Music majoring in Choral Conducting at Emmanuel College, at the University of Toronto in May
2021. She has completed the Licentiate Diploma and the ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto.

As a composer, she has been writing hymns, choral music and solo piano works, and chamber music, all of which are inspired by her life experiences in many countries. Her musical portfolio includes explorations of spirit, theology, philosophy, nature, and human relationships. Her academic research explores Korean musical traditions and Christian contextual theologies as resources for liturgy and liberation.

Dr. Sarah Redikopp (she/her) is a writer and researcher specializing in critical and feminist approaches to madness and psychiatric disability. Sarah received her PhD from York University in April 2024. She brings with her a wealth of experience in project management and research development, outreach, and communications. Sarah has been a member of Trinity-St. Paul’s since April 2022, and she has served in several congregational leadership positions.  Contact Sarah to discuss anything related to communications, administration, organization, or getting involved in the Trinity-St. Paul’s congregation!
